The photograph shows a section of a typical pleated element. The following points are worth noting:
Element hardware. Depending on application, our unique pleat concept offers the best of both surface and depth filtration. Inner and outer support tubes can be spirally wound or rolled steel. Our use of bonded end caps and radial seals, ensures "positive sealing"
Pleats bonded to the outer wrap. Some elements have pleats bonded to the outer casing, enabling stable pleat spacing and complete media utilisation, even under severe duty conditions such as high viscosity cold starts and flow surges. It further ensures uniform distribution flow throughout the length of the element, minimising pressure drop and extending service life.
Upstream support. This is sourced from primary specialists in their particular field. Materials used for upstream support offer high support strength and optimum flow distribution.
Filter media. We work with the leading developers for each of the media we use, so that we obtain the best materials, deployed in the most suitable configuration. Some typical specifications are shown in later pages.
Downstream support. High strength support and optimised flow distribution are key aims for downstream support. These are sourced from the foremost suppliers in this critical field.
